IIT Roorkee has officially confirmed the JEE Advanced 2026 exam date as May 17, 2026, for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology. The highly competitive engineering entrance test will be conducted in computer-based mode across examination centres in India. JEE Advanced 2026 Exam Pattern and Paper Timings Announced

As per the official confirmation, JEE Advanced 2026 will consist of 2 compulsory papers, each of 3 hours duration. Candidates must appear in both Paper 1 and Paper 2 for their performance to be considered valid. The age eligibility for JEE Advanced 2026 has been clearly defined by IIT Roorkee. Candidates must be born on or after October 01, 2001. A 5-year age relaxation is applicable for candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories. In terms of academic qualification, students who have passed Class 12 in 2025 or 2026 are eligible to apply. Those who completed Class 12 in 2024 or earlier are not eligible for JEE Advanced 2026, as per the current eligibility framework.
