The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has officially launched the JAM 2026 website, marking the start of the admission process for postgraduate science programs across India. Candidates can apply for Master of Science, Joint MSc-PhD, MSc-PhD dual degree, and other PG scientific programs offered by IITs and participating universities.
JAM 2026 Registration and Application Process
The JAM 2026 registration window will begin on September 5, 2025, and close on October 12, 2025. Aspirants must submit applications online through the official website jam2026.iitb.ac.in using the JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS).
Applicants are required to:
- Fill out the online application form.
- Upload scanned copies of a portrait, signature, academic certificates, and category certificate if applicable.
- Pay the examination fee within the given deadline.
JAM 2026 Exam Details
The JAM 2026 examination will be conducted on February 15, 2026, through computer-based testing (CBT). The test cities are divided into eight zones, each managed by a designated IIT. Candidates must select three preferred exam cities within the same zone. Major exam cities include Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Kanpur, Chennai, and Guwahati.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and meet the eligibility standards specified by the participating IITs. There is no upper age limit for appearing in JAM 2026. The JAM 2026 website will provide admit cards, practice tests, result notifications, and other important updates, ensuring candidates have access to all necessary resources for exam preparation and admission procedures.
