IP University to Conduct Special Round Offline Counselling for Para-Medical Programme Tomorrow

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has announced that a special round of offline counselling for admission to the Para-Medical programme (Code 124) will be conducted on September 17, 2025. The session is aimed at filling vacant seats while giving preference to candidates who have qualified through national-level tests, the university’s own entrance exam, and CUET scores.

Merit List for CUET Applicants

The university confirmed that a merit list for students applying on the basis of CUET scores will be published on the official website. Shortlisted candidates will be able to participate in the counselling process scheduled for tomorrow. For admission to other technical courses, such as BTech, GGSIPU continues to rely on Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) scores, while CUET scores play a major role in para-medical and other professional programmes.

Eligibility Criteria for Special Round

According to the official notification, only a select group of candidates will be eligible to participate in this round:

Non-admitted candidates: Only those who have not secured admission in previous rounds are allowed.
Exclusion of management quota candidates: Students admitted under the management quota will not be eligible.
Fee adjustment not allowed: Any partial academic fees paid earlier will not be adjusted in this round.

Fee Payment and Document Requirements

Eligible students are required to carry a bank draft of ₹96,000, issued in favour of the University Registrar. Along with the draft, candidates must bring all essential academic and personal documents for verification on the day of counselling. For detailed guidelines, aspirants have been advised to check the official portals – ipu.ac.in and ipu.admissions.nic.in – before appearing for the counselling session.

Earlier Sports Quota Counselling

This announcement comes soon after GGSIPU conducted offline counselling for sports quota admissions on September 15, 2025, at its Dwarka campus. A merit list for sports quota applicants has already been uploaded to the university website. Seat allocation for these candidates will be completed after thorough document verification.
