IOCL Recruitment 2025: Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification:
- Full-time BE/BTech or equivalent degree in relevant disciplines from AICTE/UGC-recognised institutions.
- Minimum marks: 65% for General/EWS/OBC-NCL and 55% for SC/ST/PwBD.
- Approved Disciplines:
- Chemical Engineering: Chemical, Chemical Technology (Refinery & Petrochemical), Chemical & Biochemical, Petrochem Engineering, Petrochemical Technology, Petrochem & Petroleum Refinery.
- Electrical Engineering: Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Electrical & Instrumentation, Electrical Power, Electrical Instrumentation & Control, and related streams.
- Instrumentation Engineering: Instrumentation, Instrumentation & Control, Instrumentation & Electronics, Applied Electronics & Instrumentation, Power Electronics & Instrumentation.
- Age Limit: 26 years as of July 1, 2025 (General/EWS); relaxations apply for reserved categories.
IOCL Recruitment 2025: Selection Process
The recruitment will be conducted in three stages:
- Computer-Based Test (CBT):
- Date: October 31, 2025
- Admit Card Release: October 17, 2025
- Duration: 150 minutes
Pattern: 100 objective questions
- Domain Knowledge – 50
- Quantitative Aptitude – 20
- Logical Reasoning – 15
- Verbal Ability – 15
- Negative marking: 0.25 per wrong answer
- Sectional and overall cut-offs apply as per category norms.
- Group Discussion and Group Task (GD/GT): Shortlisted candidates will be invited post-CBT.
- Personal Interview (PI): Final stage for qualified candidates.
Minimum Qualifying Marks
- General/EWS/OBC-NCL: 40% per section, 45% overall
- SC/ST: 35% per section, 40% overall
- PwBD: 25% per section, 30% overall
IOCL CBT Exam Centres
The CBT will be conducted across 44 cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune, Jaipur, Lucknow, Patna, and Thiruvananthapuram.
