The Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) has officially announced the exam date for its Specialist Officer (SO) recruitment drive for 2025–26. The IOB SO Exam 2025 will be held on 16th November 2025, for candidates seeking roles as Manager and Senior Manager across multiple departments. Eligible candidates who submitted applications online can now prepare for the exam based on the schedule and pattern mentioned in the official notification.

 

Overview of IOB SO Recruitment 2025

The IOB SO recruitment, advertised under HRDD/RECT/03/2025-26, aims to fill a total of 127 vacancies in MMGS II and MMGS III grades. The online examination will shortlist candidates for interviews and final selection.

Exam Date and Admit Card

The online examination will be conducted on 16th November 2025 (Sunday). Candidates must download the call letter from the official IOB website www.iob.in a few days before the exam. Carrying a printed admit card along with a valid photo ID is mandatory for entry into the examination centre.

 

Eligibility Criteria

  • Age Limit: 25 to 40 years as on 1 September 2025. Age relaxation applies: SC/ST – 5 years, OBC – 3 years, PwBD – 10 years (additional relaxations for reserved categories).
  • Educational Qualification: Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree based on the post, including engineering, IT, finance, risk, or domain-specific certifications.
  • Work Experience: 2 to 5 years of relevant experience depending on the role.

 

Selection Process

The recruitment will follow a two-stage process:

  1. Online Examination – Evaluates professional knowledge, reasoning ability, quantitative aptitude, and English language skills.
  2. Interview – Only candidates shortlisted from the online test will be called. Final selection is based on combined scores from both stages.

 

Salary and Allowances

  • MMGS II Scale: Rs. 64,820 – 23,40 / 1 – 67,160 – 26,80 / 10 – 93,960
  • MMGS III Scale: Rs. 85,920 – 26,80 / 5 – 99,320 – 29,80 / 2 – 1,05,280 Additional allowances include Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and City Compensatory Allowance (CCA).
