IOB LBO Recruitment 2026: 250 Posts, Application Closed

The Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) LBO Recruitment 2026 application process has ended. The bank invited applications for 250 Local Bank Officer (LBO) posts under Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMGS-I).

The online registration window was open from August 8 to August 24, 2026. Candidates who applied successfully can now wait for the next stage of the recruitment process, including the online examination. The exam date has not been announced yet.

IOB LBO Eligibility Criteria

Candidates were required to meet the educational and age requirements specified in the recruitment notification.

• Candidates must have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university.
• The required age was 20 to 30 years as on August 1, 2026.
• Age relaxation is applicable to eligible reserved categories as per government rules.
• Candidates could apply for only one state under the recruitment process.
• Applicants were required to meet the local language requirements for the state selected.

IOB LBO Recruitment 2026 Application Fee

The application fee was different according to the candidate category.

The fee included applicable GST and was non-refundable.

IOB LBO Selection Process

Candidates who successfully submitted their applications will be considered for the subsequent selection stages.

The online examination will carry 200 marks and will include Reasoning and Computer Aptitude, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, Data Analysis and Interpretation, and English Language.

The examination duration is 3 hours. A negative marking of 0.25 marks applies for every incorrect answer.

IOB LBO Salary

Selected candidates will be appointed as Local Bank Officers in JMGS-I. The basic pay scale is INR 48,480 to INR 85,920, along with applicable allowances and benefits as per bank rules.
