Institutes Accepting GATE 2026 Scores for MTech, PhD Admission

Institutes accepting GATE 2026 scores include premier engineering and research institutions across India and select international universities. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026 is being conducted by IIT Guwahati on 07, 08, 14 and 15 February 2026. The GATE 2026 result is scheduled to be announced on 19 March 2026, and the scorecard will remain valid for three years from the date of declaration.

GATE 2026 Admission Process and Counselling Overview

Admissions through GATE 2026 are conducted via centralised and institute-level counselling processes. The Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) is used for admissions to IITs, while the Centralised Counselling for MTech (CCMT) is conducted for NITs, IIITs, and other Government Funded Technical Institutions. Candidates meeting institute-specific cut-off scores will be eligible to participate in counselling rounds for MTech, integrated MTech, and PhD programmes.

IITs Accepting GATE 2026 Scores

The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are the most preferred destinations for GATE-qualified candidates. Admissions are offered for MTech, MS (Research), and PhD programmes across multiple engineering disciplines. Major IITs accepting GATE 2026 scores include IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Roorkee, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT BHU, IIT ISM Dhanbad, IIT Indore, IIT Gandhinagar, IIT Ropar, IIT Jodhpur, IIT Mandi, IIT Patna, IIT Bhubaneswar, IIT Tirupati, IIT Jammu, IIT Palakkad, IIT Bhilai, and IIT Dharwad.
