Indian Air Force Group Y Medical Assistant Airmen Intake 01/2027: Apply Online

The Indian Air Force has issued the official recruitment notification for Group ‘Y’ Medical Assistant Airmen Intake 01/2027 under the 2026 recruitment cycle. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must fulfil one of the following:

• Medical Assistant Trade (10+2): Passed 10+2/Intermediate with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from a recognised board with at least 50% aggregate marks and 50% in English.
• Medical Assistant Trade (Diploma/B.Sc Pharmacy): Must have passed 10+2 with the same subjects and minimum marks, along with a Diploma or B.Sc in Pharmacy with a valid State Pharmacy Council or Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) registration at the time of enrolment.

Age Limit

• 10+2 Candidates: Born between 01 January 2006 and 01 January 2010 (inclusive)
• Diploma/B.Sc Pharmacy (Unmarried): Born between 01 January 2003 and 01 January 2008 (inclusive)
• Diploma/B.Sc Pharmacy (Married): Born between 01 January 2003 and 01 January 2006 (inclusive)
• Upper Age Limit: 21 years (with age relaxation as per Air Force rules)

Physical Standards & Fitness Test

Candidates must meet physical eligibility requirements, including:

• Height: Minimum 152.5 cms
• Physical Fitness Test (PFT):
  • Up to 21 years: 1.6 km run in 7 minutes
  • Above 21 years (Pharmacy category): 1.6 km run in 7 minutes 30 seconds
• Hearing: Normal hearing ability
• Vision: Correctable to specified standards with no excessive refractive error
• Dental and Weight Standards: Matched to height and age norms
