India Post has released the GDS Recruitment 2026 notification for 23,757 vacancies under the Gramin Dak Sevak Online Engagement Schedule-II, July 2026. The recruitment includes BPM, ABPM and Dak Sevak posts across different postal circles.
The One-Time Registration process will begin on August 31, 2026, while candidates can submit the online application and fee from September 2 to September 21, 2026, up to 5 PM. Selection will be based on a merit list prepared from Class 10 marks, with no written examination.

India Post GDS Eligibility 2026
Candidates must have passed Class 10 from a recognised board with passing marks in Mathematics and English. They must also have studied the prescribed local language of the postal circle up to Class 10.
The age limit is 18 to 40 years as on the last date of application. Age relaxation will be available to eligible reserved category candidates according to government rules.
Candidates are also required to have basic computer knowledge and knowledge of cycling as prescribed for GDS engagement.

The application fee for eligible male candidates from the applicable categories is INR 100. Female candidates, SC, ST, PwBD and Transwomen candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.
