The Department of Management Studies (DoMS), IIT Madras has opened applications for MBA admission 2026–28. Candidates with valid CAT 2025 scores can apply for the two-year, full-time residential management programme. The last date to submit the application form and fee is 31 January 2026.
Application Schedule and Fee Details
The application window opened on 25 December 2025. Candidates must complete the form and payment before the deadline. Application fee details
- General, OBC, Foreign and NRI candidates: Rupees one thousand six hundred
- SC, ST and PwD candidates: Rupees eight hundred
The fee is non-refundable and must be paid through approved digital payment modes.
Eligibility Criteria for DoMS IIT Madras MBA
Admission is primarily based on CAT 2025 scores for Indian nationals. Final-year undergraduate students are eligible to apply provisionally, subject to fulfilling degree requirements before joining. IIT graduates with a CGPA of eight point zero or above are exempt from the CAT requirement. Foreign applicants may submit GMAT scores. Sponsored candidates can apply under institute-specified conditions.
Selection Process and Interview Rounds
Shortlisting will be based on a composite score that includes:
- CAT performance
- Academic record
- Work experience
- Academic diversity
- Gender diversity
Shortlisted candidates will be called for Reflective Writing and Personal Interview rounds.
Interview Cities and Tentative Schedule
The interview process is expected to be conducted in March 2026.
Candidates are advised to plan travel and preparation accordingly.
