The IIT JAM 2026 registration process has officially started today, September 5, 2025, through the JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS) at jam2026.iitb.ac.in. IIT JAM 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Students planning to appear for IIT JAM 2026 must fulfill the following conditions:
- A bachelor’s degree from a recognised university is mandatory.
- Final-year students are also eligible to apply.
- There is no minimum percentage requirement.
- The exam has no age limit and is open to both Indian and foreign students.
IIT JAM 2026 Application Fee
The registration fee varies based on category and gender.
- Female / SC / ST / PwD candidates: INR 1000 (one paper), INR 1350 (two papers)
- All other candidates: INR 2000 (one paper), INR 2700 (two papers)
Fee payment can be made online using a debit card, a credit card, UPI, or net banking.
Steps to Apply for IIT JAM 2026
Students have to follow these steps on the JOAPS portal:
- Register on the JOAPS portal using a valid email ID and mobile number.
- Upload a passport-size photograph, signature, and category certificate if applicable.
- Fill in personal, academic, and exam city details carefully.
