The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has released the UCEED 2026 Part A cutoff marks on 5 February 2026, for candidates who appeared in the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED). UCEED 2026 Part A Cutoff: Statistical Metrics and Eligibility
Candidates can check the UCEED Part A qualifying marks without any login credentials. The cutoff has been determined using statistical measurements to fairly shortlist candidates for further admission stages in Bachelor of Design (BDes) programmes at participating institutes.
- Cutoff Based on Mean: 70.86 marks
- Standard Deviation: 25.77 marks
- Cutoff is calculated using the formula δ = μ + (σ⁄2) (where μ is mean and σ is standard deviation) to shortlist candidates.
The qualifying benchmark helps identify candidates who will move ahead to Part B evaluation and rank calculation for admission.
UCEED 2026 Exam Background and Next Steps
The UCEED 2026 entrance test was conducted on 18 January 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM across centres nationwide for admission to BDes programmes. The final answer key was published on 28 January 2026, and the Part A cutoff marks followed on 5 February 2026. Qualified candidates who clear the Part A cutoff will have their Part B answer booklets evaluated and will then be considered for overall merit ranking. The authority is scheduled to announce the full UCEED 2026 result on 6 March 2026, with scorecards available for download from 10 March 2026 onwards.
