 IIT Bombay Extends UCEED 2026 Registration Deadline to November 5

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has officially extended the registration deadline for the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) 2026. The registration window, which was earlier set to close on October 31, will now remain open until November 5, 2025, for candidates paying the regular fee. According to the revised schedule, the last date to register with a late fee has also been pushed from November 7 to November 10, 2025. This extension offers additional time for eligible students to complete the online application through the official portal.

 

UCEED 2026 Exam Dates and Admit Card Schedule

IIT Bombay has confirmed that the UCEED 2026 admit card will be released on January 2, 2026, while the exam is scheduled to take place on January 18, 2026. Candidates are advised to verify all details carefully once the admit card is available.

UCEED 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Only those candidates who have passed Class XII (or equivalent) in 2025 or are appearing in 2026 in any stream — Science, Commerce, or Arts & Humanities — are eligible for UCEED 2026. The examination can be attempted a maximum of two consecutive times. The UCEED serves as a national-level entrance test for admission to Bachelor of Design (BDes) programmes offered by IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Indore, IIT Roorkee, and IIITDM Jabalpur.
