IIT Bombay Extends JAM 2026 Application Correction Window Until Nov 13

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has extended the Joint Admission Test for Master’s (JAM) 2026 application correction window to November 13, 2025, providing candidates additional time to rectify critical details. Aspirants can now modify their name, date of birth, category, exam city, and selected paper through the official JAM portal. The Add Paper option is also available during this extended period. This extension ensures accuracy in applications, as incorrect information could affect admission eligibility and subsequent processes.

 

JAM 2026 Exam Date and Cities

The JAM 2026 Exam will be conducted on February 15, 2026, in two sessions – Forenoon and Afternoon – across 114 cities in India. This qualifying examination facilitates admission to postgraduate programs at 22 IITs, offering over 3,000 seats in disciplines such as Biotechnology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and more.

 

JAM 2026 Papers and Exam Pattern

JAM 2026 will feature seven papers:

  • Biotechnology (BT)
  • Chemistry (CY)
  • Economics (EN)
  • Geology (GG)
  • Mathematics (MA)
  • Mathematical Statistics (MS)
  • Physics (PH)

The three-hour Computer-Based Test (CBT) will comprise 60 questions for 100 marks, divided into three sections:
