IISER IAT 2026 Registration Begins, Apply Online for Admission

The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) has commenced online registration for the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2026 from 5 March 2026, with the last date for submission on 13 April 2026. The entrance test is scheduled for 7 June 2026, offering admission to undergraduate science programs including BS‑MS and BTech, across all IISER campuses.
The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) have started the registration process for IAT 2026, the mandatory entrance exam for admission to undergraduate programs across all seven IISER campuses. Eligible candidates can now apply through the official portal iiseradmission.in starting 5 March 2026.
IISER IAT 2026: Important Dates and Application Window
The IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2026 will be conducted as a computer-based exam on 7 June 2026 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Students must complete the online application process between 5 March and 13 April 2026.

IISER IAT Eligibility Criteria and Selection
Candidates must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent exam with at least 60 per cent aggregate marks (55 per cent for SC/ST/PwD candidates) in science subjects including biology, chemistry, mathematics, and physics. The IAT is the primary pathway for admission, with alternative scores such as JEE marks not considered for most programs.
