The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) have announced the complete IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2026 schedule for undergraduate admissions. As per the official notification, IAT 2026 registration will begin on 5 March 2026, and the entrance examination will be conducted on 7 June 2026. Eligible candidates can submit the IISER admission application form 2026 online through the official portal iiseradmission.in within the prescribed timeline.

 

IISER Admission 2026 Application Dates

The registration window for IISER Aptitude Test 2026 will remain open for more than a month. Candidates are advised to complete the application process well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues. The key dates related to IISER admission and IAT 2026 are provided below.

IISER IAT 2026 Application Fee

Candidates must pay the application fee online while submitting the IISER IAT 2026 form. The category-wise fee structure is as follows:

  • General / EWS / OBC / OBC-NCL: INR 2000
  • SC / ST / PwD / Kashmiri Migrants and related categories: INR 1000
  • Foreign National candidates: INR 12000

The fee is non-refundable and must be paid through the prescribed online payment modes.

 

IISER Aptitude Test 2026 Exam Pattern

The IISER Aptitude Test 2026 will be conducted as a computer-based test at designated centres across India. The examination will begin at 9:00 am and will be held for a duration of 180 minutes. The test will consist of 60 multiple-choice questions, with 15 questions each from Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics. Each question will have only one correct answer. The total marks will be calculated out of 240, and the final IAT 2026 rank list will be prepared based on the scores obtained in the examination.
