How the IIMB UG Admission Interview Fits in Selection Process?

The IIMB UG admissions process comprises two major components:

  • IIMB UG Admissions Test: Conducted on 13 December 2025 as the primary shortlisting criterion.
  • Personal Interview (PI): Carried out in January 2026 for shortlisted candidates.

The final selection is based on a composite score, where approximately 60% weightage is given to the entrance test performance and 40% to the personal interview performance. This mix ensures that candidates are evaluated not only on their cognitive and analytical skills demonstrated in the written test but also on communication, personality, and academic clarity during the interview.

Interview Preparation and Requirements

Candidates shortlisted for the IIMB UG interview are advised to prepare in the following areas:

  • Academic Record: Be ready to discuss academic achievements and consistency.
  • Programme Understanding: Demonstrate awareness of the IIMB UG programmes, including specialisation and career goals.
  • Current Affairs: Stay informed on national and global issues relevant to management and economics.
  • Communication Skills: Clear articulation and logical reasoning will be assessed.

The personal interview typically involves discussion with faculty panel members and may include questions on academic interests, personal goals, and problem‑solving capabilities.

Post‑Interview Process and Offers

After completion of the interview window:

  • Admission Offers will be issued on 28 February 2026.
  • Candidates receiving offers must confirm acceptance by 31 March 2026.
  • A waitlist offer (if applicable) will be released from 15 April 2026.

This timeline ensures that the admission process is completed well before the start of the 2026–27 academic year
