IIM Udaipur has introduced a four-year Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programme with applications open for the 2026 inaugural cohort. The online application window runs from 4 March to 31 May 2026, and the programme will begin on 6 July 2026.

IIM Udaipur Launches BBA Programme 2026; Applications Open Until 31 May as the Indian Institute of Management Udaipur has introduced its first Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programme. The institute announced that applications for the inaugural batch of the programme opened on 4 March 2026.

 

The four-year undergraduate programme aims to combine academic rigour with wider accessibility and national reach. The course has been designed as a digital-first learning pathway aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

The institute has released the admission timeline for the first cohort of the programme. Admissions will be conducted entirely online through the official process. The key dates for the programme are provided below.

Candidates who complete the application process and meet the eligibility criteria will be considered for admission through document verification, as there is no separate entrance examination for this programme.

 

IIM Udaipur BBA Programme Structure and Exit Options

The programme has been designed with a flexible academic structure that allows students to earn credentials at different stages of study. Students enrolled in the course will receive:

  • Certificate after Year 1
  • Diploma after Year 2
  • BBA Degree after Year 3
  • BBA (Honours) after optional Year 4

This multi-exit structure aligns with the academic flexibility proposed under NEP 2020, enabling students to pursue education according to their career goals and academic progress.

 

Language Model and Learning Format

One of the distinctive aspects of the programme is its Hindi-first language approach. While instruction primarily uses Hindi, the course includes bilingual academic support to accommodate a wider group of learners. Key features of the learning model include:

  • Recorded academic content primarily in Hindi
  • English versions of learning resources for additional support
  • Faculty-led live tutorials and masterclasses
  • Online discussion forums for academic interaction
  • Invigilated examinations conducted at in-person centres

This blended learning model aims to maintain academic credibility while allowing students to pursue their studies from different locations across the country.

 

IIM Udaipur BBA 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates interested in applying for the undergraduate programme must meet the eligibility conditions announced by the institute. Applicants must have:

  • Completed Class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognised board
  • Students from any academic stream are eligible to apply
  • Candidates from NIOS or equivalent pathways can also apply

The programme has been designed for recent school graduates as well as learners seeking flexible pathways into management education.

 

IIM Udaipur BBA Fee Structure and Scholarships

The fee structure for the programme begins at INR 50,000 for the first year. The institute has introduced a transparent tiered fee model to ensure wider participation. To support students from diverse financial backgrounds, the institute will also offer:

  • Means-based financial assistance
  • Fee waivers for eligible candidates

These financial support options aim to reduce barriers and make management education accessible to a broader group of learners.

According to Professor Ashok Banerjee, Director of IIM Udaipur, the new BBA programme reflects the institute’s commitment to balancing academic excellence with accessibility.

 

He stated that the initiative has been designed to extend the quality and discipline of IIM education to a wider group of learners, particularly those who prefer studying in Hindi or require flexible academic pathways.

 

The programme is expected to expand access to management education across India while maintaining the academic standards associated with the Indian Institutes of Management.
