IIM Mumbai Placements 2026: INR 71.4 LPA Highest Package, 502 Offers Secured

IIM Mumbai concluded final placements for the 2024–2026 batch with 502 offers. The highest domestic package stood at INR 71.4 lakh per annum. Consulting led recruitment, while BFSI hiring rose by 33 per cent.

Indian Institute of Management Mumbai concluded its final placement season for the 2024–2026 batch with 502 offers across MBA programmes. Out of a graduating cohort of 505 students, three opted out to pursue entrepreneurial ventures. The placement process witnessed participation from over 200 recruiters across sectors and geographies, recording strong compensation trends across performance tiers.

 

IIM Mumbai MBA Placement 2026 Salary Statistics

The institute reported a highest domestic package of INR 71.4 lakh per annum. Compensation outcomes across percentiles reflect competitive salary benchmarks.

  • The top 10 percentile secured an average of INR 47.5 lakh per annum.
  • The top 20 percentile recorded INR 41.4 lakh per annum.
  • The top 50 percentile achieved INR 34.5 lakh per annum.

Students were placed across domains including banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI), consulting, FMCG, general management, information technology, manufacturing, operations, logistics, pharma and healthcare, product management, and sales and marketing.

 

Consulting and BFSI Lead IIM Mumbai Placement Season

Consulting emerged as the largest recruiting domain with 123 offers. The BFSI sector registered a 33 per cent year-on-year increase in hiring, marking the strongest sectoral surge this season. The institute attributed this growth to its strategic location in Mumbai and its academic focus on finance and analytics. FMCG hiring increased by 24 per cent, while logistics and operations roles also recorded notable growth, supported by the specialised MBA in Operations and Supply Chain Management programme.

 

Recruiters at IIM Mumbai Placements 2026

The placement season saw participation from several first-time recruiters and established corporate partners. Prominent organisations included:

  • Goldman Sachs
  • J.P. Morgan Chase
  • Amazon
  • Microsoft
  • Accenture
  • PepsiCo
  • Nestlé

Other legacy recruiters such as Hindustan Unilever, Reliance Industries and Tata Administrative Services also offered diverse roles.

 

Director Manoj Kumar Tiwari stated that the placement outcomes reflect evolving industry demand, particularly in BFSI and AI-driven roles. He noted that graduates are increasingly being positioned in transformation-focused roles shaped by digital and analytical advancements. The 2026 placement season underscores IIM Mumbai’s strengthening corporate partnerships and sustained demand for management graduates across sectors.
