IIM Mumbai Integrates AI and Data-Science Electives into MBA Curriculum
IIM Mumbai has begun including electives such as Digital Transformation Strategy, AI for Business Decision-Making, Automation & AI in Facility Planning, Digital Supply Chain Twins, and Operations for the Digital Age. Students will gain exposure to AI, machine learning, blockchain, cloud computing, advanced data analytics, and tools like Python, Power BI, and Tableau for hands-on training.
Generative AI & NEP’s Role in Shaping MBA Skill Sets
According to the director, platforms like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity are now being used as co-pilots in business courses — helping with ideation, summarisation, business case writing, and simulated scenario-based learning. The National Education Policy 2020 plays a significant role, encouraging multidisciplinary electives, modular credits, and granting importance to online/blended delivery through platforms like SWAYAM and MOOC/NPTEL.
