IIM Lucknow Admission Criteria 2026: IIM Lucknow has released its admission criteria for the 2026-28 MBA batch. The selection process will be primarily based on CAT 2025 scores, academic performance, diversity factors, work experience, and performance in the Writing Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI).

To qualify for the WAT-PI stage, candidates must meet the minimum CAT cutoffs, which remain consistent with those of previous years. For the MBA program, a minimum overall percentile of 90 in CAT 2025 is required, while the MBA-ABM and MBA-SM programs require 85 percentile. Additionally, MBA-SM applicants must have at least 24 months of work experience.

IIM Lucknow Admission Criteria 2026: Final Selection

The authority will prepare the final selection list after the WAT-PI round. The minimum PI round score is 12 out of 40. Candidates will be selected based on their scores in the following parameters.

CAT 2025 is scheduled for November 30, 2025. Conducted by IIM Kozhikode, this computer-based exam is the gateway to admission in 21 IIMs and over 1,000 management institutes across India. The test consists of 68 questions divided into three sections: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude. Candidates have two hours to complete all sections, with each section lasting 40 minutes. The exam includes multiple-choice and type-in-the-answer questions, with negative marking for incorrect MCQs.
