IIM Kozhikode International Admissions 2026–28: Selection Criteria

IIM Kozhikode has officially opened international admissions for the 2026–28 batch, providing detailed guidelines for application cycles, fees, and virtual interview requirements. The process is designed to ensure transparency for international students and to help them plan visa and travel arrangements. Study in India (SII) portal registration is mandatory for all foreign applicants, making the process smoother and compliant with Indian regulations.

IIM Kozhikode International Admission Cycles 2026–28

The institute will conduct admissions in two cycles this year.

  • Cycle 1: October 3, 2025 – December 15, 2025
  • Cycle 2: December 22, 2025 – March 16, 2026

This dual-cycle approach provides flexibility and ensures timely issuance of admission offers. Applicants can plan virtual interviews and other documentation requirements accordingly.

IIM Kozhikode Selection Criteria for International Students

The IIM Kozhikode Selection Criteria forms the backbone of the admission process. All eligible candidates must appear for a virtual interview conducted by a panel of two or more IIM Kozhikode faculty members. The final decision is based on the average score awarded by the panel, ensuring fair and consistent evaluation. This score is combined with the applicant’s academic records and professional profile to determine final admission offers. Selected candidates are required to confirm acceptance by paying USD 3,000 within 1 month of receiving the admission offer. Admission offers are released within 1 month of the closing date of each application cycle.

IIM Kozhikode International Admission Fees and SII Registration

Before moving to the stepwise process, candidates should note that the application fee is INR 850. Applicants registered on the Study in India (SII) portal can avail a waiver. The SII Unique ID is mandatory for applying for a student visa in India, and the Ministry of Home Affairs has introduced an e-Student Visa for eligible applicants under the S-1 and S-3 categories.

  • Register on the Study in India (SII) Portal and obtain a Unique ID
  • Fill the IIM Kozhikode international application form
  • Pay the INR 850 application fee (waived for SII-registered students)
  • Attend the mandatory virtual interview
  • Wait for the admission offer from IIM Kozhikode
  • Confirm admission by paying USD 3,000
  • Apply for an e-Student Visa using the SII Unique ID
