IIM CAT 2025 Registration Ongoing: Exam Date, Pattern & Fees

The registration process for the Common Admission Test (CAT 2025) is currently active on the official website, iimcat.ac.in. The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) have extended the application deadline to September 20, 2025, from the earlier date of September 13. The exam will be conducted on November 30, 2025, across 170 cities in India.

 

IIM CAT 2025 Registration Process

Candidates eligible for the examination can complete their application online. The process involves simple steps to ensure smooth registration.

  • Visit the official website iimcat.ac.in
  • Click on “New Candidate Registration” on the homepage
  • Enter details such as name, date of birth, email ID, mobile number, and country to generate an OTP
  • Fill in personal and academic information after OTP verification
  • Upload the required documents and pay the application fee
  • Download and print the confirmation page for records

IIM CAT 2025 Application Fees

Candidates need to pay the prescribed fee while completing their applications.

  • SC/ST/PwD candidates – ₹1,300
  • All other categories – ₹2,600

Payment can be made online through debit card, credit card, or net banking.

 

IIM CAT 2025 Exam Pattern

The test will be held in computer-based mode with a total duration of 120 minutes. The structure is as follows:

  • Total Questions: 68
  • Sections:
    • Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC)
    • Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR)
    • Quantitative Aptitude (QA)
  • Time Allotted: 40 minutes per section

 

IIM CAT 2025 Marking Scheme

The marking system rewards accuracy while penalising incorrect multiple-choice attempts.

  • +3 marks for each correct answer
  • -1 mark for each incorrect MCQ response
  • No negative marking for Type-in-the-Answer (TITA) questions
