IGNOU Placement Drive 2026 Announced Across Major Regional Centres

IGNOU Placement Drive 2026 has been announced by the Indira Gandhi National Open University through its Campus Placement Cell. The initiative will be conducted across select regional centres to provide employment opportunities to students and alumni. The drive is scheduled to be held over four days.

IGNOU Placement Drive 2026 Dates and Participating Regional Centres

The placement drive is being organised as a large-scale, pan-India recruitment initiative. It aims to connect eligible learners with recruiters from multiple industry sectors.

As per the official announcement, the IGNOU placement drive will take place from 10 February 2026 to 13 February 2026. The drive will be conducted at the following regional centres:

• Bijapur
• Mumbai
• Nagpur
• Pune
• Bangalore
• Dehradun

The initiative is primarily targeted at enrolled students and alumni residing in Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Uttarakhand.

Sector Focus and Job Roles Offered

The placement drive will feature recruiters from diverse sectors, ensuring opportunities for candidates with different academic backgrounds and experience levels.

Recruitment will mainly focus on the Fintech, Information Technology, and BPO sectors. Some of the key roles expected to be offered during the drive include:

• Assistant Relationship Manager
• Customer Support Executive
• HR Generalist
• Sales Expert
• Collection Officer

IGNOU has indicated that the offered positions will include competitive salary packages and incentive-based structures, suitable for both fresh graduates and working professionals.

Eligibility Criteria and Documents Required

The placement drive is open to undergraduate and graduate learners of IGNOU. Candidates participating in the drive must meet basic employability requirements.

Applicants are required to have strong communication skills and must report to the venue in formal attire. Candidates must carry both original documents and photocopies for verification. The required documents include:

• Updated CV and two passport-size photographs
• IGNOU ID card and a valid government-issued photo ID
• PAN card
• Educational certificates and mark sheets
• Experience certificates, if applicable

Advance registration is mandatory, and candidates must complete the registration process before attending the drive.

Other Academic Updates from IGNOU

In a separate development, IGNOU has also announced admissions to its MBA programmes for the January 2026 admission cycle. The programmes are being offered in Open and Distance Learning mode through the School of Management Studies.

Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree of at least three years duration. The minimum qualifying marks required are 50 per cent for general category candidates and 45 per cent for reserved category candidates.
