Indira Gandhi Medical College & Research Institute (IGMCRI), Puducherry, has announced recruitment for 226 Group B Nursing Officer posts for 2025. The selection process is fully merit-based, with no written exam or interview. Candidates are evaluated on academic performance, Employment Exchange seniority, and COVID-19 duty experience.

Detailed Selection Process

1. Academic Performance (100 Marks)

• 40% weightage for Higher Secondary marks
• 60% weightage for Nursing Degree/Diploma (GNM)
• Deduction: 5% per extra attempt in qualifying subjects/semesters

2. Employment Exchange Seniority (Up to 15 Marks)

• Candidates must be registered with Puducherry Employment Exchange
• Marks: 1.5 per completed year after acquiring Nursing qualification
• Registration must be active and renewed

3. COVID-19 Duty Marks (Up to 5 Marks)

4. Tie-Breaking Procedure

• Older candidate is ranked higher
• If age is the same, alphabetical order by name

5. Final Merit Calculation Formula

Final Marks (out of 120) = H.Sc. Marks (out of 50) + Degree/Diploma Marks (out of 50) + Employment Exchange Marks (out of 15) + COVID Duty Marks (out of 5)
