The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has postponed the CA Final exam 2025 and CA Intermediate exam 2025 scheduled in Kathmandu, Nepal, due to ongoing protests and violence.
ICAI Postponement Notice
According to ICAI, the CA exams in Nepal scheduled on September 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15, 2025 stand postponed in Kathmandu centre only. The Institute stated that the revised exam dates will be announced soon. The official ICAI announcement reads:
“It is announced for general information that in view of the widespread protests in Nepal, the Chartered Accountants Final and Intermediate Examinations to be held on 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th September 2025 stand postponed in Kathmandu (Nepal) only. Revised dates shall be announced in due course.”
Exams in Other Cities Unaffected
ICAI has clarified that there will be no change in the CA Final and CA Intermediate exams in India and abroad. The earlier notification dated May 30, 2025, will remain valid for all other centres. Students have been advised to stay updated by visiting the official ICAI website —www.icai.org.
