The ICAI CA Final January 2026 exam begins tomorrow, 05 January 2026, for candidates registered for the Final level session. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) will conduct the exam across multiple cities in India and overseas, covering six papers in two groups until 16 January 2026. Examination guidelines are in place for all candidates to follow at their respective centres.

Exam Cities and Mode

The ICAI CA Final January 2026 exam will be held in around 290 cities in India and at eight overseas centres, ensuring broad geographic coverage for aspirants registered for this session. All papers will be conducted in pen‑and‑paper (offline) mode under standard exam protocols.

 

Key Exam Day Guidelines for Candidates

Candidates appearing for the CA Final January 2026 exams must strictly adhere to the following exam day instructions:

  • Carry the admit card and valid photo identification to the exam centre.
  • Reach the allotted venue well before reporting time to avoid delays.
  • Follow all centre‑level instructions and regulations as prescribed by ICAI for conduct inside the exam hall.
  • Electronic devices and unauthorised materials are strictly prohibited inside the examination venue.

These guidelines are aimed at ensuring a fair and orderly conduct of papers across all locations.

 

Past Performance Trend in CA Final Exams

In the September 2025 CA Final examination, Group I saw a pass percentage of around 24.66%, while Group II recorded about 25.26%. The overall pass percentage for candidates who appeared in both groups was near 16.23%. Top rank holders included students from cities such as Dhamnod and Hyderabad in the previous cycle.
