IB ACIO Tier 2 City Intimation Slip Released for Exam on January 11

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has released the IB ACIO Tier 2 city intimation slip 2025-26 for candidates qualifying for the Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (ACIO) Grade II/Executive examination’s second stage. The city slip provides aspirants with their exam city, state, shift timing and reporting time ahead of the Tier 2 descriptive examination on 11 January 2026. This document is issued prior to the official admit card to help candidates plan travel and logistics. The IB ACIO Tier 2 exam is part of a national recruitment drive to fill ACIO Grade II/Executive posts under the Intelligence Bureau, and the city intimation slip is a crucial preparatory document.

What the City Intimation Slip Includes and Its Importance?

The IB ACIO Tier 2 city intimation slip contains key information to help candidates prepare before the main hall ticket is released. The slip includes:

• Candidate’s Name
• Allotted Exam City and State
• Shift Timing
• Reporting Time

This slip does not serve as the admit card (hall ticket); the official Tier 2 admit card with full centre address and instructions will be released separately closer to the exam date, expected by 8 January 2026. Candidates must download the actual admit card to appear for the exam. MHA issues city slips before admit cards to enable candidates to make necessary travel and stay arrangements, especially for those travelling from distant locations.

Candidates who have qualified the Tier 1 exam can download their IB ACIO Tier 2 city intimation slip by following these steps:

Tier 2 Exam and Future Admit Card

The IB ACIO Tier 2 exam is scheduled for 11 January 2026, and follows the Tier 1 exam held in September 2025. Shortlisted candidates from Tier 1 were issued this city slip to better prepare for the upcoming descriptive exam. The official Tier 2 admit card, which contains the full exam centre address, reporting details, identification requirements and instruction,s is expected to be released on the official MHA portal a few days before the exam, likely around 8 January 2026.

Preparation and Logistics Tips for Candidates

The IB ACIO Grade 2/Executive recruitment process includes Tier 1 (objective), Tier 2 (descriptive) and subsequent stages, and the release of the city slip marks an important milestone in the selection cycle.
