The Indian Air Force (IAF) closes the online registration window for the Agnipath Scheme (Agniveervayu Intake 01/2027) on 1 February 2026. Eligible unmarried Indian men and women born between 1 January 2006 and 1 July 2009 can still apply to serve a four-year tenure in the Air Force, with the online exam scheduled for 30 and 31 March 2026. The Indian Air Force (IAF) is set to close the Agnipath Scheme (Agniveervayu Intake 01/2027) registration window today, 1 February 2026, marking the final opportunity for eligible candidates to apply online for a fixed-term four-year service opportunity.

 

Agnipath Enrollment 2026 Final Day to Apply

The online application process for Agniveervayu Intake 01/2027 under the Agnipath Scheme began on 12 January 2026 and will conclude at 11 p.m. on 1 February 2026. Aspiring candidates who wish to serve in the Indian Air Force for a four-year tenure must visit the official IAF recruitment portal to complete their registrations before the deadline. Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs 550 plus 18 per cent GST during online submission.

 

Eligibility and Qualification Criteria

Eligible candidates must meet specific age and educational requirements:

  • Age: Born between 1 January 2006 and 1 July 2009 (maximum of 21 years at the time of enrolment).
  • Marital Status: Only unmarried Indian men and women are eligible.
  • Educational Qualification: Candidates should have completed 10 + 2 with subjects including Physics, Mathematics and English, or 10 + 2 in any subject, or hold a relevant diploma/vocational qualification recognised by an educational board or institution

Meeting these criteria is mandatory to register for the recruitment drive and sit for subsequent selection stages.

 

Selection Process and Exam Schedule

The Agnipath Scheme selection process includes multiple stages designed to assess knowledge, physical fitness, adaptability and medical suitability:

  1. Online Written Examination – scheduled for 30 and 31 March 2026.
  2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Adaptability Test and Document Verification.
  3. Medical Examination by authorised Air Force medical boards.

Successful candidates will be inducted as Agniveervayu personnel for a four-year service period, during which they receive training, military experience and a monthly stipend. Upon completing the service term, eligible personnel receive a Seva Nidhi package and may be considered for permanent enrolment based on organisational needs.

Candidates must apply online through the official IAF recruitment website before the registration window shuts:
