HPBOSE LDR Test 2026: 97 Applications Cancelled Over Fee Issue

The Himachal Pradesh School Education Board (HPBOSE) has cancelled 97 applications for the Limited Direct Recruitment (LDR) Test 2026 after candidates failed to pay the mandatory examination fee. The decision was taken following a detailed scrutiny of all submitted online forms.

HPBOSE LDR Test 2026 Application Status Update

As per official data, a total of 1,534 candidates applied for the LDR Test 2026. After verification, 1,437 applications were found valid, while the remaining 97 were rejected mainly due to non-payment of the INR 3,000 examination fee. HPBOSE had earlier clarified that incomplete fee payment would lead to automatic cancellation. The board has uploaded the rejected candidates list on its official website to maintain transparency and avoid confusion during later stages such as admit card issuance.

LDR Test 2026 Exam Date and Eligibility Criteria

The HPBOSE LDR written examination is scheduled to be conducted on 22 February 2026. Only candidates who have successfully paid the fee and fulfilled eligibility norms will be allowed to appear. The LDR Test is not open to the general public. It is exclusively meant for SMC teachers working under the Himachal Pradesh Education Department. To be eligible, candidates must have completed a minimum of five years of service and should have been appointed under the SMC policy dated 17 July 2012.

Subject-Wise Valid Applications After Rejection

After removing invalid applications, HPBOSE released updated subject-wise figures of eligible candidates:

• Hindi: 343 candidates
• Sanskrit: 277 candidates
• Arts: 296 candidates
• Drawing Master: 247 candidates
• Medical: 112 candidates
• Non-Medical: 102 candidates
• JBT: 60 candidates

The data indicates intense competition in Hindi and Sanskrit, while JBT has the lowest number of applicants.

Official Statement and Board’s Stand

The HPBOSE Secretary confirmed that only fee-paid applications were accepted and stated that the board is following a zero-tolerance approach towards documentation errors this year. The move is aimed at ensuring a smooth and error-free recruitment process.

Advisory for Candidates Appearing in LDR Test 2026

Candidates whose applications are accepted should now focus entirely on exam preparation. Admit card updates will be released soon on the official HPBOSE portal. Applicants must carry valid ID proof along with the admit card on exam day. Rejected candidates will not be given any second opportunity for fee payment or reapplication in this cycle.

Final Note

The cancellation of 97 applications for the HPBOSE LDR Test 2026 serves as a strong reminder that adhering to deadlines is critical. With 1,437 candidates now competing for limited posts, aspirants appearing on 22 February 2026 must prepare diligently and follow all exam instructions carefully.
