The Board of School Education Haryana (HBSE) has scheduled the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations 2026, starting from 25 February 2026. Students must be aware of the exam timings, reporting rules, and key guidelines set by the board to ensure smooth conduct of the exams.

The Board of School Education Haryana (HBSE) has slated the Class 12 board exams 2026 to begin on 25 February 2026, followed by the Class 10 exams starting on 26 February 2026, as per the officially released dates. The board has also specified fixed exam timings and day-of guidelines for students participating in both secondary and senior secondary examinations this year.

 

HBSE Board Exam Schedule and Timings for 2026

HBSE conducts Class 10 and Class 12 annual board examinations each year, covering regular and private candidates enrolled under its jurisdiction. For the 2026 session:

  • Class 12 theory exams will run from 25 February 2026 through to 1 April 2026.
  • Class 10 board exams are scheduled from 26 February 2026 to 20 March 2026.
  • All papers generally commence at 12:30 PM and conclude at 3:30 PM, with some vocational subjects ending slightly earlier.
  • Students are advised to reach the exam centre well ahead of the start time and carry their admit cards at all times.

This schedule reflects a single afternoon shift pattern adopted by the board to ensure uniformity across all exam dates.

 

Reporting Time and Entry Rules Of HBSE Board

HBSE has specified clear reporting guidelines that students must adhere to on each examination day to maintain order and fairness:

  • Candidates should arrive at the examination centre at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.
  • Entry gates will close at the designated reporting time, after which no student will be permitted to enter the exam hall.
  • A valid HBSE admit card and a government-issued identification document are mandatory for verification.
  • Participants who reach late will not be allowed to take the paper under any circumstances.

 

Mandatory Exam Day Instructions Of HBSE Board

To uphold the integrity of the examination process, HBSE has issued several exam day rules that all students must follow strictly:

  • Electronic devices, including mobile phones, calculators, smartwatches and other gadgets, are strictly prohibited within the exam hall.
  • Students are expected to bring their own stationery items, such as pens, pencils and erasers.
  • Any form of unfair means or malpractice will attract disciplinary action under board regulations.
  • Candidates must remain inside the examination hall for the entire duration and hand over their answer booklets before leaving.

These measures aim to ensure a fair atmosphere and an undisturbed examination experience for all students across Haryana.

 

Additional Security and Local Measures

In several districts, local authorities have implemented enhanced security protocols around examination centres to prevent disruptions and maintain order. For instance, certain administrative measures have been imposed within a specified radius of exam buildings to ensure a calm environment.
