Goa Board 2026 Science Practical Exam: School Clubbing Circular Released

The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) has released an official circular detailing the clubbing of schools for the Science practical examinations scheduled for February 2026. This arrangement groups smaller schools together to ensure that practical exams for subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Biology are conducted efficiently at designated centres. Under the circular, schools with limited numbers of students appearing for Science practicals have been paired with nearby institutions to form consolidated examination centres. This helps streamline logistics, ensure adequate resources for practical assessments, and maintain uniform standards of supervision and evaluation.

How Schools Are Grouped for Practical Exams?

The notification lists specific clusters of schools and their designated exam centres where combined practical tests will be held. For example:

• Divine Mercy Edgar Francisco Braganza Memorial English Medium High School, Mapusa is clubbed with Janata High School, Mapusa for the practical exam, with a combined candidate tally.
• Vidya Niketan High School, Calangute and St. Dominic Savio High School, Calangute have been grouped together for their Science practical assessments.
• Mahatma Jyotirao Phule High School, Colvale has been paired with St. Rita’s High School, Colvale, pooling students from both schools into a single centre.

These clubbing arrangements apply to students from schools where the number of candidates is relatively low, helping the board ensure practical examinations are conducted smoothly with adequate supervision and equipment.

Purpose of Clubbing and Practical Exam Schedule

The board’s decision to group schools stems from the need to optimise resources, provide a standardised examination environment, and reduce administrative burden where individual schools may not have sufficient staff or infrastructure for standalone practical sessions. The Goa Board SSC practical exams 2026 form an important component of the Class 10 assessment, contributing to final internal marks. These Science practicals are part of the board’s broader schedule that includes written theory examinations set for later in the academic year. Candidates and school authorities are advised to check the official circular available on the board’s website gbshse.in for full details of clubbed centres and reporting instructions.
