GGU VRET PhD Eligibility Criteria 2025-26

Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya offers admission under two categories. Each category contains specific academic requirements that candidates must fulfil.

 

VRET Category Eligibility

  • Master’s Degree: Minimum 55% marks (5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/DA).
  • Four-Year Bachelor’s Route: Minimum 75% marks, with applicable relaxations.
  • M.Phil. Degree: Minimum 55% marks, with relaxations for reserved categories.

 

VRET Exempted Category Eligibility

Candidates must fall into one of the following groups:

  • Regular, temporary or ad-hoc employees of GGU or other recognized institutions with an NOC.
  • International applicants with equivalent qualifications.
  • Qualified candidates from UGC-NET, JRF, CSIR-NET, GATE, CEED, or eligible under UGC fellowship categories.

The application procedure is conducted entirely online through the Samarth portal. Candidates must follow each step carefully to ensure a complete and error-free submission.
