GD Goenka University has announced the launch of new aerospace courses under its Centre for Aerospace and Energy Studies, in collaboration with Redbird Flight Training. The program combines a full-fledged university degree with professional pilot training, creating a dual pathway for aviation aspirants. Students will graduate with both a recognised degree and a pilot’s license, an advantage for global career opportunities, as many countries now require academic qualifications alongside flight certifications.

- Dr. Ugur Guven, Director of the Centre for Aerospace & Energy Studies, said the collaboration ensures students gain both theoretical knowledge and real-world flying experience.
- According to the university, the Centre had earlier pioneered India’s first "Pathway to Pilot Program for Aerospace Engineers" in 2023, and this partnership strengthens that vision further.
- Nipun Goenka, Managing Director of GD Goenka Group, emphasised that the collaboration marks a step toward world-class, industry-integrated education, aligning with the booming demand in aerospace and aviation.
