IIT Guwahati has officially extended the GATE 2026 registration last date with late fees to October 13, 2025. Candidates who have not yet completed their application can now submit the GATE 2026 application form via the official portal — GOAPS 2026. This extension allows students to apply with an additional late fee while completing their registration.
The GATE 2026 exam is scheduled for February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026, conducted in two shifts: Forenoon (9:30 am to 12:30 pm) and Afternoon (2:30 pm to 5:30 pm). Successfully registered candidates will be eligible to appear on the given dates.
GATE 2026 Registration Process with Late Fee
Candidates applying during the extended period must follow the simple steps below:
- Visit the official GOAPS 2026 website and click Apply Online
- Complete registration to obtain an Enrollment ID
- Create a password and fill in the rest of the application details
- Upload documents as per specifications
- Pay the late fee registration amount and submit the form
- Take a printout of the completed form for future reference

Once registration is completed, the authorities will open the correction window for candidates to update information.
