GATE 2026 Last Date to Apply Without Late Fee on September 28

IIT Guwahati, the conducting body of GATE 2026, will close the application process without late fee on 28 September 2025. Candidates seeking admission to MTech, PhD, or other postgraduate programmes must complete their registration at gate2026.iitg.ac.in before the deadline. Applications submitted after this date will attract late fee charges.

GATE 2026 Application Window and Registration Process

The GATE 2026 application portal (GOAPS) opened on 28 August 2025. Eligible candidates were required to create an account, fill in details, upload documents, and pay the registration fee to complete the process. GATE 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Students in the third year, final year, or graduates of engineering, technology, architecture, science, commerce, arts, or humanities are eligible to apply for GATE 2026.

GATE 2026 Documents Required

GATE 2026 Exam Dates and Pattern

The test will be held for 30 papers in online mode. The question paper will include Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Multiple Select Questions (MSQs), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions. Each paper will cover General Aptitude and subject-specific topics.
