GATE 2026 Last Date to Apply with Late Fee Closed on 13 Oct

The GATE 2026 registration with late fee closed on 13 October 2025. Candidates who have not yet registered must visit the official GATE website, gate2026.iitg.ac.in, and complete their application immediately. Registered candidates can also check their application status on the GOAPS 2026 portal.

 

The GATE 2026 exam will be conducted on 7, 8, 14, and 15 February 2026 in two shifts: Shift 1 – 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and Shift 2 – 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Aspirants are advised to review the GATE 2026 information brochure and instructions carefully before applying.

 

Steps to Apply for GATE 2026 During the Extended Period

Candidates can follow these steps to complete registration:

  1. Visit gate2026.iitg.ac.in and click on “Apply Online”.
  2. Register by providing name and contact information.
  3. Obtain enrollment ID and create a password.
  4. Login and fill out remaining details.
  5. Upload required documents: recent photograph, signature, and valid ID proof.
  6. Make payment of application fee and submit the form.
  7. Save and download the confirmation page for future reference.

  • SC/ST candidates: category certificate in PDF

 

GATE 2026 Late Fee Registration Details

The registration fee during the extended period is as follows:

Payment can be made via netbanking, credit card, debit card, or UPI. Candidates should keep the payment receipt for future reference.

 

GATE 2026 Application Status and Correction Window

After submission, candidates can check their application status on GOAPS 2026 using enrollment ID and password. Any defects must be rectified before the deadline.

 

The GATE 2026 correction window is expected to open in the first week of November and will remain active until 6 November 2025. Candidates can make changes to name, paper, exam centres, etc., by paying the applicable fee.

 

GATE 2026 Exam Dates and Admit Card

The GATE exam 2026 will be conducted in multiple shifts. Branch-wise exam dates will be released a few days before the exam. The admit card will be available for download from 2 January 2026 through the candidate login portal using enrollment ID and password.

 

Candidates are advised to complete registration before the deadline and monitor the official website for further updates.
