GATE 2026 Feb 14 Shift 1 Concludes; Shift 2 to Begin at 2:30 PM

The GATE 2026 exam for Day 3 is being conducted today, February 14, 2026, across designated centres nationwide. The Shift 1 examination concluded at 12:30 PM, while the second session is scheduled to begin at 2:30 PM. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026 is being conducted in two sessions — morning and afternoon — in computer-based test (CBT) mode.

 

GATE 2026 February 14 Exam Timings

  • Shift 1: 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM – Concluded
  • Shift 2: 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM – To commence shortly

Candidates appearing for the afternoon session have been advised to reach their respective centres well before the reporting time to complete verification procedures smoothly.

 

Entry and Reporting Guidelines

As per the exam day guidelines:

  • Candidates must carry a printed copy of the GATE 2026 admit card.
  • A valid photo ID proof is mandatory for entry.
  • Electronic gadgets and prohibited items are not allowed inside the examination hall.

Biometric verification and frisking procedures are being followed at multiple centres to ensure a smooth conduct of the examination.

 

GATE 2026 Day 3 Examination

The GATE 2026 examination is being conducted under the supervision of the organising institute for this year. The exam assesses candidates’ understanding of undergraduate-level subjects in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce and Arts streams. Paper-wise analysis and difficulty level assessment for GATE 2026 February 14 Shift 1 are expected after the completion of both sessions. Candidates appearing in Shift 2 are advised to remain calm and follow all instructions issued at the exam centres for hassle-free entry and examination conduct.
