GATE 2026 Application Correction Window Closes on 12 March as announced by the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. The correction facility is available for candidates whose application forms were marked defective or provisionally accepted.
Eligible candidates have received email notifications regarding errors in their application forms. They must log in to the GOAPS portal at gate2026.iitg.ac.in to rectify the issues before the deadline.
GATE 2026 Application Correction Process
Candidates are required to correct their application details through the official online portal. The correction facility allows applicants to edit certain fields in their submitted forms.
The step-by-step process to make corrections is provided below.
- Visit the official website – gate2026.iitg.ac.in
- Click on the GOAPS Portal
- Log in using Enrollment ID and Password
- Locate the application correction link on the dashboard
- Edit the required details in the application form
- Pay the applicable GATE form correction fee
- Submit the updated form and download the confirmation page
Candidates must ensure that all corrected details are accurate before final submission.
GATE 2026 Application Correction Fee
To complete the modification process, candidates are required to pay the applicable correction fee online. The payment must be completed through the official portal.
Accepted payment methods include:

- Internet Banking
- UPI Wallet
The application form will be considered successfully corrected only after the payment is completed.
GATE 2026 Result Date
The GATE 2026 result will be declared on 19 March 2026 by IIT Guwahati. Candidates who appeared for the exam will be able to check their results through the GOAPS portal. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026 was conducted on the following dates:

Candidates will need to use their Enrollment ID and Password to access the result.
GATE 2026 Scorecard and Qualifying Marks
After the announcement of results, IIT Guwahati will release the official GATE 2026 scorecard and qualifying marks for all papers. The scorecard will be available for download between the following dates:
- Scorecard Download Start: 27 March 2026
- Scorecard Download End: 31 May 2026
The institute will also publish the GATE qualifying marks for all 30 papers, which will determine eligibility for postgraduate admissions and recruitment opportunities.
