GATE 2026 Admit Card Postponement and Expected Process

IIT Guwahati, which is conducting the national‑level GATE entrance exam this year, informed candidates that the GATE 2026 admit card release schedule has changed from the earlier date and that the new timeline will be shared soon on the official portal. The hall ticket contains key details including the candidate’s name, registration number, exam centre, date, shift timing, and exam‑day instructions.

Importance of GATE Admit Card and Instructions

Along with the hall ticket, aspirants must carry a valid photo identity proof, such as an Aadhaar card, a Passport, a PAN card, or a Voter ID to the centre on the test day. The hall ticket also includes essential exam‑day guidelines and reporting time, which candidates should follow strictly to avoid last‑minute issues.
