FMGE Exam 2026: Check Reporting Time and Exam Day Guidelines

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will conduct the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) October 2026 on October 31. Candidates appearing for the screening test should download their admit cards, verify their examination centre details and review the exam-day instructions before leaving for the test.

The FMGE admit card was released on October 27, 2026. Candidates must check the reporting time, gate-closing time, examination centre address and other instructions printed on their individual hall tickets. Reaching the centre late may result in entry restrictions.

FMGE October 2026 Exam Schedule and Timings

The examination is scheduled for October 31, 2026, in computer-based test mode. It will be conducted in two parts on the same day.

Candidates should use the timings printed on their admit cards as the final reference and plan their journey accordingly. They should not assume that arrival at the gate-closing time will be accepted.

Documents to Carry to the FMGE Examination Centre

Candidates should prepare their examination documents in advance to avoid last-minute problems. The exact requirements printed on the admit card and in the official instructions must be followed.

Candidates should generally prepare:

• Printed FMGE admit card: Carry the required printed copy of the hall ticket.
• Valid original photo ID: Bring an identity document accepted under the official examination instructions.
• Additional documents, if required: Carry any other document specifically mentioned in the admit card or official notice.

Candidates should check the permitted identification documents and any additional requirements before exam day rather than relying on assumptions.

FMGE 2026 Exam-Day Rules Candidates Should Follow

Candidates should reach their allotted centres well before the gate closes and cooperate with the prescribed identity-verification and security procedures.

Keep these precautions in mind:

• Download and print the admit card before travelling.
• Check the examination centre address in advance and plan the route.
• Follow the reporting time specified on the admit card.
• Carry only the documents and items permitted under the examination rules.
• Avoid bringing prohibited electronic devices or unauthorised materials into the examination hall.
• Follow the dress-code and security instructions issued by NBEMS.
• Read the complete instructions printed on the hall ticket before the examination.

Candidates should not rely on general exam-day advice where it conflicts with the instructions issued for their specific examination.
