Exam Overview and Eligibility Criteria
The FMGE is a mandatory screening test conducted twice a year — in June and December — for Indian and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) who have earned their medical degrees from foreign universities and wish to practice medicine in India. Applicants must possess a valid primary medical qualification recognised by the relevant medical authority of the foreign country and must submit proof of qualification by the application deadline. Once registered, candidates will be allotted test centres and issued admit cards ahead of the January session.
