FMGE December 2025 exam city list has been released by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). The screening test for foreign medical graduates who wish to practice medicine in India will be held nationwide on January 17, 2026.
As per the guidelines, candidates must select four separate test cities while filling out the online application form. NBEMS will assign one city from these four options through a random system that does not consider candidate preference.
FMGE December 2025: Key Details on Exam City Allocation
NBEMS has clarified that candidates cannot prioritise their four chosen cities. The final allocation depends on administrative feasibility, logistics and security-related factors. Candidates should note that selecting a city does not guarantee receiving a centre in that city.
If seats are unavailable across all four selected cities, the Board may assign a centre anywhere in India to ensure smooth conduct of the screening test.
A preliminary list of test cities has been published. However, NBEMS may modify this list if a location is found unsuitable due to security audits, logistical challenges or unexpected events. Additional cities may also be added if required.

- Admit Card Release:January 14, 2026

The admit card will contain the full address of the assigned exam centre. NBEMS has also stated that it holds the authority to assign test centres anywhere in the country to preserve the integrity of the examination process.
