The Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) Staff Selection Examination (ESSE) 2025 has been officially scheduled by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on behalf of the National Education Society for Tribal Students (NESTS). The examination will be conducted in offline (pen-and-paper) mode across 83 cities nationwide. The dates for the EMRS Exam 2025 are:

This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 7,267 vacancies for various teaching and non-teaching positions, including Principal, Post Graduate Teachers (PGT), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT), Hostel Warden, Staff Nurse, Accountant, Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), and Lab Attendant.
EMRS Exam Pattern and Selection Process
The EMRS examination will consist of two tiers:
- Tier I (Preliminary Examination): This will be an objective-type multiple-choice question (MCQ) paper.
- Tier II (Subject Knowledge Examination): This will assess the candidate's proficiency in the relevant subject area.
For the position of Principal, an additional interview round will be conducted as part of the selection process. The examination will be conducted in two shifts per day:
- Morning Shift: 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM
- Afternoon Shift: 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Candidates are advised to check their admit cards for specific shift timings and reporting instructions.
