Education Is the Most Powerful Instrument of Change, Says BU VC

At the 32nd convocation ceremony of Mother Teresa Women’s University (MTWU) held in Kodaikanal on Thursday, Geetanjali Dash, Vice Chancellor of Berhampur University, Odisha, highlighted the transformative power of education. Speaking in the presence of Tamil Nadu Governor R.N. Ravi, the Chancellor of the University, she described education as “the most powerful instrument of change.”

 

During the event, Governor R.N. Ravi presented degree certificates to graduates, encouraging them to contribute positively to society through their knowledge and values.

 

Convocation Highlights

Addressing the gathering, Prof. Geetanjali Dash urged graduates to develop passion, resilience, and respect for others’ emotions as they move forward in life. She said that education should not only help individuals achieve professional success but also make them more empathetic and socially responsible citizens.

 

K. Kala, Vice Chancellor of Mother Teresa Women’s University, also participated in the ceremony, emphasizing the institution’s role in empowering women through quality education and research.

 

The convocation brought together university officials, faculty members, students, and parents to celebrate the academic achievements of the graduating class.

 

Governor’s Address

In his address, Governor R.N. Ravi congratulated the graduates and stressed the importance of continuous learning and moral responsibility. He stated that education must nurture both intellect and character to build a stronger nation.

 

The ceremony concluded with the conferral of degrees across various disciplines, reflecting MTWU’s commitment to advancing women’s education and leadership.
