The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Bhubaneswar has released the notification for engagement of Act Apprentices under East Coast Railway for the 2026-27 training year. A total of 1,599 training slots are available across 25 designated trades.
The vacancies are distributed across different divisions and workshops, including Carriage Repair Workshop, Mancheswar, Khurda Road Division, Sambalpur Division and East Coast Railway headquarters.

East Coast Railway Apprentice Eligibility 2026
Candidates must have passed Class 10 (Matriculation) under the 10+2 system with at least 50% aggregate marks from a recognised board.
Candidates must also possess an ITI certificate in the relevant trade from an institution recognised by NCVT or SCVT. The age of applicants should be between 15 and 24 years as on September 15, 2026. Age relaxation is applicable to reserved categories as per government rules.
East Coast Railway Apprentice Application Fee 2026
The application fee is INR 100. Candidates can pay the fee online through debit card, credit card, UPI or internet banking.
SC, ST, PwBD and women candidates are exempt from paying the application fee.
East Coast Railway Apprentice Selection Process 2026
Candidates will be selected based on their merit in Class 10 and ITI. There will be no written examination or interview for the selection of apprentices.
The merit list will be prepared as per the marks obtained in the qualifying examinations and applicable rules.
