DU UG Admissions 2025: Mop-Up Round Announced Using Class 12 Marks

Delhi University has announced a special mop-up round to fill vacant seats in undergraduate courses for the academic session 2025-26. Unlike earlier rounds based on CUET scores, this admission cycle will consider Class 12 marks for eligibility and seat allocation.

 

The university stated that the mop-up round will provide a final chance to eligible candidates who could not secure admission in the previous phases.

The university has shared the detailed schedule for the mop-up admission process. Applications open from September 4 and will continue till September 7, 2025. The list of vacant seats will be uploaded on the official admission portal.

Key details:

  • Candidates already registered on CSAS (UG)-2025 but not admitted yet can apply through the mop-up tab.
  • Fresh applicants may also register by paying a one-time mop-up fee of INR 1,000 along with the standard registration fee.
  • Fee for UR, OBC (non-creamy layer), and EWS: INR 250; for SC, ST, and PwBD: INR 100.
  • Students admitted through CUET in earlier rounds are not eligible.

 

Admission Criteria and Rules

Admissions will be strictly based on Class 12 or equivalent marks. The minimum eligibility and programme-specific requirements, including subject combinations and the “best of four” rule with one compulsory language, will apply as per the Bulletin of Information.

 

Colleges will verify certificates, category documents, and eligibility before confirming admission. No supernumerary quota seats will be offered in this round except for PwBD candidates.

 

The university has described this mop-up exercise as the final opportunity for students seeking admission in 2025-26. Applicants have been advised to ensure their academic records and certificates are accurate before submission
