Delhi University has opened the MBA admission process for the 2026–27 academic session, with CAT scores forming the basis of candidate shortlisting. The admission notification has been issued by the Department of Finance and Business Economics (DFBE), which conducts MBA programmes from the university’s South Campus. The university has clarified that while the Common Admission Test (CAT) is conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management, the IIMs are not involved in the admission process or academic delivery of DU’s MBA programmes.
MBA Programmes Offered by Delhi University
Delhi University is inviting applications for the following two-year, full-time MBA programmes:
- MBA in Business Economics
- MBA in Finance
Admissions to both programmes will be conducted through a joint selection process managed entirely by the university.
Eligibility Criteria for DU MBA Admission 2026
Candidates applying for DU MBA Admission 2026 must fulfil the following conditions:
- A Bachelor’s degree with at least 50 per cent marks from Delhi University or any recognised equivalent institution
- Mathematics or Business Mathematics at Class 12 level is mandatory
- Final-year undergraduate students appearing in 2026 are also eligible to apply
- Reservation of seats will be applicable as per Delhi University norms
DU MBA 2026 Application Process
Delhi University has confirmed that the entire application process is online. Candidates are required to submit their applications through the designated university admission portal. Applications submitted through offline mode or hard copy will not be considered under any circumstances.
DU MBA Application Fee Structure
The application fee depends on the number of programmes selected:
For General category candidates
- ₹2,000 for two programmes
- ₹1,200 for one programme
For SC, ST and Divyang candidates
- ₹1,000 for two programmes
- ₹700 for one programme
DU MBA Admission 2026: Last Date
The last date to submit the DU MBA application form is January 11, 2026, up to midnight. Candidates are advised to complete the application well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues.
Selection Process for DU MBA Through CAT
Shortlisting of candidates will be based primarily on CAT scores, along with other parameters prescribed by Delhi University. Any further stages of selection, including interviews or assessments, will be conducted solely by the university.
