DU Mop-Up Admissions 2025 Begin; Only 73 BA Honours Seats Filled

Delhi University (DU) has begun the mop-up round admissions for undergraduate courses in physical mode. Despite a large number of vacant seats, only 73 BA Honours seats were filled on the first day.

 

Day 1 Highlights

According to university officials, around 876 students were invited for 1,700 BA Honours seats. However, the turnout remained low, with very few seats being taken up on day one.

Admission Schedule

  • On the first day, the focus was on BA Honours admissions.
  • UR and OBC category students are being prioritised initially.
  • Admissions to B.Com and Economics Honours will follow.
  • Science stream admissions will begin the next day.

 

Admission Process

  • The mop-up round is being conducted in offline mode at colleges.
  • Unlike earlier rounds, admissions are based on Class 12 marks, not CUET scores.
  • The process will continue until all available seats are considered.
  • Any seats left vacant after the mop-up round will remain unfilled for this academic session.
