DU CES 2026 Admission: No Age Bar for Delhi University CES, Check Eligibility, Fees Here

Delhi University has opened admissions under the DU CES 2026 Admission scheme, giving learners an opportunity to study selected papers at the university without enrolling in a regular degree programme. The Delhi University Competence Enhancement Scheme (CES) 2026 follows the “Any Course, Any Age” approach and is aimed at promoting flexible and lifelong learning under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

The major highlight of DU CES Admission 2026 is that there is no age bar for candidates. This means learners from different age groups, including working professionals, alumni and senior citizens, can apply if they meet the eligibility requirements of the paper they wish to study.

DU CES 2026 Admission: No Age Limit for Candidates

Under DU CES 2026, candidates can pursue individual academic papers instead of joining a complete undergraduate or postgraduate degree programme. The scheme is intended for people who want to enhance their academic knowledge, acquire new skills or return to formal learning after a gap.

The Delhi University CES 2026 scheme permits learners from different age groups and professional backgrounds to attend classes along with regular students. DU has introduced the initiative in line with the lifelong-learning objectives of NEP 2020.

The no-age-bar provision makes DU CES Admission 2026 particularly relevant for working professionals and learners who could not pursue a particular subject earlier but now want to study it through Delhi University.

DU CES 2026 Admission Fees

Candidates should also check the DU CES 2026 fees before applying. The CES framework specifies a fee of Rs 6,000 per paper/course. Therefore, candidates registering for two papers may have to pay Rs 12,000, subject to the applicable admission rules and fee structure.

The scheme is different from regular Delhi University Admission 2026, as CES candidates are admitted for individual papers and do not become regular degree-programme students through this route.

DU CES 2026 Classes and Evaluation

Candidates admitted through the Delhi University CES 2026 scheme study the selected paper in the same mode and medium as regular students. The teaching and evaluation pattern is aligned with the requirements applicable to regular students.

After successfully completing the paper and satisfying the required attendance and evaluation conditions, candidates can receive the applicable certificate and credits. The credits can be deposited in the candidate's Academic Bank of Credits account according to university norms.

DU CES 2026 Admission Under NEP 2020

The Delhi University CES 2026 initiative has been introduced as part of the university's implementation of the lifelong-learning objectives of NEP 2020. The scheme recognises that learning does not necessarily have to be limited to a particular age group or a conventional degree programme.

Through CES, learners can study selected papers and enhance their academic or professional capabilities while remaining connected to a university learning environment. DU's CES framework specifically describes the scheme as an opportunity for knowledge enhancement through “Any Course, Any Age.”
